At Clarke and Clarke Woodworking we strive to create a unique handcrafted cutting board that will be both beautiful and functional. With proper care, your new board will last for years. Wood does expand and contract with changes in temperature and humidity that can cause it to crack, unrelated to construction. To care for your board, hand wash only with warm soapy water, rinse and immediately hand dry with a clean, soft cloth Do not leave wood in standing water. Do not put wood in dishwasher, microwave, or oven. After hand washing, allow your board to air dry so that air can reach all sides of the board. Store your board on its edge, not flat unless feet have been installed. This will aid in preventing warping or cracking. Condition your board with food grade mineral oil or Clarke and Clarke Board Butter monthly. We enjoyed making this board and we hope that it proves you with years of usefulness and joy.
